What do Susan Tedeschi, Johnny Winter, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Delbert McClinton,
Buddy Guy, Van Zant and Shemekia Copeland have in common?
Triple threat, two-time Grammy-nominated songwriter, singer,
producer, drummer TOM HAMBRIDGE!
Nashville-based Tom Hambridge, having recently signed a publishing deal with international
giant EMI, is just getting warmed up! As a producer, he's worked with some of the best in the
business. Most recently, he received a 2005 Grammy nomination for his role as producer of
Johnny Winter’s newest recording "I’m a Bluesman." He’s worked in the studio with Norah
Jones, Jonny Lang and Boston, just to name a few. In addition to producing Susan Tedeschi's
Platinum-selling Grammy-nominated "Just Won't Burn" CD, Tom wrote her Top 10 Triple A hits
"Rock Me Right" and "It Hurt So Bad." He produced and wrote a song on George Thorogood's
latest CD which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Blues Album Chart.
As a songwriter Tom is on fire. Tom wrote five songs on Lynyrd Skynyrd's CD "Vicious Cycle"
and has a song on Skynyrd's Platinum selling "THYRTY" Greatest Hit's collection on MCA. Tom
co-wrote two songs on Keith Anderson's Arista CD and three songs on the new Van Zant Sony
release. Tom has written four songs on the new Delbert McClinton CD "Cost Of Living" (due out
Aug 23rd on New West) including the first single "One Of The Fortunate Few". He has two songs
on Jeffrey Steele’s "Outlaw" CD as well as a song on Buddy Guy's newest release, two songs
on Susan Tedeschi's new live CD and a song on the new Shemekia Copeland disc. As if that
wasn't enough, Tom penned and played drums on three songs on blues legend Jimmy
Thackery's new release on Telarc and wrote and played on Lee Roy Parnell's forthcoming
release on Universal.
As a drummer Tom has recorded and/or toured with the band Boston, James Taylor, Ben Orr of
The Cars, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Roy Buchanan,
Willie Nelson, The Black Crowes, Lynyrd Skynyrd and George Thorogood.
As an artist, Hambridge has released three solo CDs. His latest, "Bang n'Roll", was released by
UTR Music Group. "Bang n’ Roll," is the follow-up to "Balderdash" which produced two Triple A
hit singles.
