The Lightnin Bottle Band is a St. Louis based blues rock jam outfit. Known for an "Allman-esque" sizzling dual lead guitar attack, driving funky rhythm, and gravelly vocals, LB is turning heads all over town. With an ever growing list of songs, ranging from traditional delta and hill country blues, southern rock, jazz, polyrhytmic world tunes, classic rock, funk, reggae, and even some Johnny Cash, LB is truly an eclectic party band.
LB has shared the stage in the St. Louis area with the likes of Madahoochi, Jakes Leg, Gumbohead, The Dogtown All-Stars, Perry Woods, The Tony Campanella Band, Stew Williams and Jim Rossi, and plenty more. They have headlined events from Mardi Gras to New Years Eve to Phillip-A-Looza at venues such as The Lucas School House, The Great Grizzly Bear, The Broadway Oyster Bar, The Tin Can Tavern, 1860's, Cicero's, Llwelyn's, Big Muddy Pub, RT Weilers, Backstreet Blues and Jazz, and many more.
Steeped in the music of the Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Meters, Bob Marley, Govt Mule, as well as a host of others, this St. Louis powerhouse has become a mainstay in the Soulard District as well as the rest of the St. Louis Metro area.
On weeknights, members of the group often perform with friends from Madahoochi and other local musicians, as part of an acoustic tro known as Liquid Biscuit, performing songs from artists such as Ben Harper, Talking Heads, Jack Johnson, Grateful Dead, Phish, and others. Catch this fun new act at a watering hole near you.
