Born Brian Hines, October 29th, 1944. Romany gypsy descent. Educated Yardley Grammar School. First solo performance at age 12. Worked as trainee buyer of musical instruments. Formed "Denny and the Diplomats" then the "Moody Blues". Moved to London. Had ..1 hit. Left after "Moody Blues" first album to pursue a solo career. Formed "The Electric String Band". Moved to Spain.
