The Wilson Family Band
The Wilson Family Band The 2006 Florida State Vocal Band based out of SE Georgia featuring tight family harmonies and good bluegrass music. Robert Wilson is a veteran in bluegrass music. As a co-founder of River Grass Revue, a favorite band among many people during the 1980's, he toured with the band along the east coast, from New York to Florida, for many years. He's written much of the bands material. Melissa Wilson, also a former member River Grass Revue, is the mama of the group. She plays mandolin in the group. She also plays guitar and bass. She is a very good song writer. Clint Wilson is Sixteen years old. Clint is the 2006 Florida State Banjo Champion. Not only does he play banjo and guitar, but he also plays bass and mandolin. Clint also is a member of Ernie Evans' band. Katie Wilson is 10 years old. She plays fiddle. She blows audiences away with powerful vocals for such a young age. Her most requested tunes are "Five Pound Possum" and "Muleskinner Blues". She also plays rythm guitar. Bill Baker, also former member of River Grass Revue, plays bass with the Wilson Family Band. He is an outstanding bassist, electric and upright. He also is an accomplished mandolin, banjo, and guitar player.
