Indie rock n' soul combo the Teenage Prayers traded Ohio for New York City, where a chance meeting led Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Solomon Burke to invite them onstage to play with him. They made a good impression, and he invited them to the West Coast, where he produced tracks for their first LP. This led to the band opening up for Dream Syndicate frontman Steve Wynn, who signed on to produce their forthcoming second CD, and refers to the band as "my favorite band in NYC."
