The Big Sleep
The Big Sleep The post-rock/experimental outfit the Big Sleep feature Danny Barria (guitar), Sonya Balchandani (bass/vocals), and Gabe Rhodes (drums). The Brooklyn-based trio creates a brooding batch of psychedelic rock with an indie rock aesthetic. Prior to forming the Big Sleep in 2005, Balchandani made her debut with the stylish noise pop band Hong Kong, while Barria played with Haywood and the Detroit dream pop act Mahogany. They also self-released the You Today, Me Tomorrow EP before landing a recording contract with French Kiss in early 2006.
