Jeannine Cullen Band
Jeannine Cullen Band Fronting a group of incredibly vibrant groove players with her soulful vocals and unique songwriting, Jeannine Cullen is emerging as one of the most captivating performers to find their way into the NYC music scene in 2006. The distinctive energy of her musical entourage, appropriately named the Jeannine Cullen Band, is delivered through their tight arrangements, deep pockets and dynamic improvisations - all of which are conveyed with imaginative sense of style. The spirit of the songs are undoubtedly influenced by the jazz/fusion roots of the band, but the core of these funk/rock gems are influenced by artists such as David Bowie, the Talking Heads, and Stevie Wonder. The ability of this group of musicians to seamlessly wind genres together and propel Jeannine’s compositions to musical plateaus make for an electrifying show that’s not to be missed. The Jeannine Cullen Band can be seen performing regularly on the Greenwich Village circuit as well as in venues in the Hudson Valley and Long Island. The lineup includes Jason Smukler (keys,) Chris Elsener Jr. (Bass,) Ben Bynum (Drums,) Chris Norton (Trumpet,) and Reggie Padilla (Sax.)
