The roots of the North Texas Skunkgrass band, the Boxcar Bandits, trace back to the demise of Blaizin' Grass in late 2005, after which Texas Rex enlisted the help of some local drinkers with pickin' problems, and began performin' under the moniker of the Boxcar Bandits in February 2006 in the lovely town of Denton, TX.
