Panacea is a Southern Illinois-based trio (guitar/singer, bass/singer, and drums) with a truckload of sounds from light acoustic to wailing electric hard rock, rockabilly and, yes, even some country. With over four hours of material, including over 60 of our own original tunes (and counting!) we adapt our set(s) to what the crowd wants to hear.
We started playing together a little over a year ago, but our sound is everchanging. The three of us love to jam and learn new tunes, so any requests or ideas are always welcome. Enjoying the music is what it's all about.
We were voted one of the top ten bands in Southern Illinois in the Eye of Rock contest held by the radio station Rock 105 TAO this past year, and, the song ALL OF OUR DIFFERENCES made the top ten songs on Chain-Whipped.com's unsigned band contest. Not quite sure how that happened, but maybe it's because our credo is simple; we believe in kickin' ass, rock and roll, and kick-ass rock and roll.
