J.Wail Your mind is elevated, your soul is lifted & your booty is shakin'. With sets of deep organic electronica--mixing live instruments & electronica devices, J. Wail is setting off clubs, bars & festivals nationwide. The advent of looping technology has given birth to many solo music careers and amplified other already established careers. J.Wail is an artist stretching into the DJ-based dance sound with the approach of a live band. He creates his "experimental jam-club-funk" through innovative techniques using guitar, bass, synthesizers, and other instruments. Playing approximately 300 shows in the past 2 years, J.Wail's current tour(6 months and counting) has reached out to audiences on all corners of the continent. His ability to experiment and improvise nightly has led to appearances by over 100 guest musicians on this run. On-stage guests/jams have included Dean Ween (Ween), Brock Butler (Perpetual Groove), Ekoostik Hookah, Tom Constanten (Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame member of the Grateful Dead), and members of the Brazilian Girls. J.Wail also performed on opening slots for national artists such as Particle, Perpetual Groove, Toubab Krewe, and DJ Le Spam & the Spam Allstars. Pushing the limits of funk, club, rock and electronica is what guides J. Wail through his nightly shows and infuses the audiences with a taste of something new.
