Norris Man
Norris Man Norris Man, born Christopher Campbell grew up in the Arnett Gardens and Trenchtown areas of Kingston, JA. Nicknamed after karate master Chuck Norris, he began to gain the respect of sound-systems throughout the city with his unique toasting and singing style. By age 22, he started recording songs in some of Kingston’s most reputable recording studios such as Black Scorpio, Leggo, and Celestial Sounds Studio. By the mid-nineties, Norrisman got his first big break with 2 songs called "Persistence" and "Bad Road" voiced for Iley Dread's King of Kings label. His signature voice and powerful delivery began to trade mark his style and make Norrisman one of the key contributing members to the new cultural revolution at that time. He created lyrical content that became more potent, more socially uplifting, and more meaningful. Norrisman has recorded hundreds of songs at this point and dazzled audiences around the globe with his spiritually uplifting performances. Norrisman's stage presence is heavy, to say the least. He channels energy from around him, evoking a mystical, captivating and powerful vibration. Working with great labels such as Startrail, King of Kings, Jah Scout and Lustre Kings, Norrisman has set his foundation to remain an ongoing builder of new school roots and culture. Having just released another solo album, making it three to date for the deejay, Norrisman is constantly writing, performing and recording, gathering a legacy of classic material.
