Formed in the summer of 2005 in Dayton, Ohio, The Sandals are a local band striving for a unique sound with one goal: to jam. Cody, Michael, and Rex grew up together and started playing music at about the same time but never connected in a band. Michael and Rex began experimenting with a death metal project but were never happy with the death metal scene and experience. Meanwhile, Cody was jamming with a band named Omega-5.
