In 2004, the original ‘Jugtown Pirates of Lake Champlain’ started out in Burlington, VT. as a high energy psychedelic jug band. Paul, Toby, and the band toured across the U.S. in a veggie oil powered school bus and landed in the Heart of California, San Francisco, in 2008. The two of them fell in love with the bay area as the rest parted their ways back eastward. Soon after, they formed a union with Zack and became a powerful trio playing venues in and out of the bay area. Zack has played in a number of bands in the city. Their first jam together was rolling an upright piano into Washington Square Park, from then on the three knew they were a fit. In October 2009. Meg joined their side an hour after she arrived into the city. With eighteen years of classical training on viola, Meg has brought the finishing touches of what has become The Jugtown Pirates.

This hard working band just recorded their first album in Nov. 2009 and are ready to bring their music and energy to the masses.

Sharing a night with the Jugtown Pirates as a quartet, or even with special guests such as "Mama Queso's Burlesque Show", Pete Devine, and Johnny Kat, always is a treat and full of high energy, dancing, and people coming together forgetting about the stresses in their day to day live.
