Morsoul
Morsoul For four years, Morsoul has been gathering fans in Colorado's Front Range and ski towns. Lead by singer/drummer Dan Menchey, this Boulder–based band has added a unique twist to the jamband formula. Often seen running lights for such acts as The Motet, Pnuma Trio, Glitch Mob, and Bassnectar, Dan knows how to bring the excitement of these shows to Morsoul's more traditional style. Influenced by the music of Steely Dan, James Brown, and the Greyboy Allstars, Morsoul's sound was described by the Vail Daily as "Steely Dan with a Chili Peppers twist".

Maybe one of the only acts where the lead singer plays a stand-up drum set, Morsoul delivers melodic dance grooves all night. With new bass player Adam Mason, they are finally adding three part harmonies to their vocal-based originals and cover tunes. Occasional improv. sections are lead by MFA guitarist Chris Anton and keyboardist Phil Johnson. Eric Cummings, who is hired for many STS9 post shows will be running the massive light rig for the evening.

Opening the night will be Love Seat Trio, who's jazz chops pay tasteful homage to MMW, the Bad Plus, and John Scofield. And finally, as an extra bonus, DJ Blueberry Muffin will be peppering the evening with his glitched-out house stylings.
