The Boston AFROBEAT Society is a group of talented Boston-based musicians dedicated to developing the language and spreading the message of AFROBEAT music. AFROBEAT, created by FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI (1938-1997), incorporates Funk, Jazz, and traditional African High-Life and Yoruban rhythms fused together and fueled by Revolutionary Consciousness.
