Well over the past few years, the young trio has toured through Europe and opened up for the likes of Victor Wooten, Steel Pulse, The Meters and Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, just to name a few. City Link's Dan Sweeney had this to say about the band: "Supersized drummer Josh "Papa Bear" Connolly proved a supersized talent, dishing out the beat and keeping the guitar-bass combo of Jim Powers and Brian Lang grounded... the band hopped from funk-rock Chili Peppers territory to washed-out psychedelia, with Lang's Frank Zappa meets Les Claypool voice spouting rapid fire lyrics over it all."
Tom Tomson had to say this about the trio, "it's like a musical frankenstein of funk, rock, hip-hop, and jazz that will put a grin on your face and a smile deep down in your soul."
With their first full-length live album out, Hagus Magagus is now ready to spread their gospel of funk to the world. All three members share a passion for bringing something new and fresh to the world of music, which unfortunately has seen better days. So, pop in that Hagus Magagus CD, turn up the volume, and let the beautiful dance between the groove and your eardrum begin.
