"No one style is off-limits for Blue Sinatra. The band's energy and ability to get a crowd jumping are amazing. Easily one of the liveliest bands in Philly..."
- Origivation Magazine (2006)
Blue Sinatra is a smooth, cool blend of many kindred styles – funk, rock, reggae, hip-hop, jam and groove. Their mantra: great songs, deep grooves and the desire to inspire the crowds to get down.
Their live show has already developed a reputation in Philly for being a unique and always unpredictable event and has gained fans from all
over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and Maryland. They've shared the stage with some of the best East Coast and international acts and have played many of the best venues in Philadelphia – Theatre of Living Arts, Grape Street, and the Trocadero just to name a few. This past July they were chosen our of hundreds
of bands to play at the XPN All About the Music festival and they whipped a crowd of thousands into a dancing frenzy and they were chosen as one of the festivals best acts. They have already garnered airplay on local stations -- Philly staple, WXPN (88.5FM), and WSTW (93.7). Their song "Pennies Down the Lane" from their 2005 debut CD Velvet Gold, was named Philly local pick of the day by XPN and was played regularly on their local show.
Blue Sinatra was formed in 2002 by long time friends, Greg Harrigan (singer, emcee, keyboards, guitar, and principal songwriter) and drummer, Mike Garth. They were joined shortly by Philly veteran bassist, Fran "Cisco" McCloskey. This past year they added dynamic sax player, Steve Bickel, formerly of 80 Proof Soul, and brought on
the talented guitarist, Charlie Ortiz. Both have brought their dynamic live show to a new level. They are currently in the studio recording new tracks and mixing some live tracks for a Fall/Winter 2006 release.
