Mozely Rose has been exclusively playing music since 2004. In the summer of ’04, Mozely Rose signed on with an independent record label, Acclaim Records, where the band looked for a path to pursue their own interests. After two years, Mozely Rose left the label to gain complete control of their career.
The band is a mixture of rock, blues, and country all driven by a funk pocket groove. Alan Crist brings to Mozely Rose songwriting and structure with bluesy guitar and vocals; Matt Nicholls, influenced by Waylon Jennings, writes songs that Steve Gains would love to play; Seth Penick holds the groove with a tight pocket that you can’t shake a stick at; Neal Townsend adds polished licks and phat tricks that hold the pocket down.
