Dälek have proven that there is music being created out in this world that can draw on the best of the past and be completely 10 years ahead of its time. Sure, a lot of you haters out there will say it's too weird and you too-cool indie rockers will say it's too hip-hop. Luckily for those that get it, Dälek doesn't give a fuck what you think. Dälek hails from the beautiful city of Newark, NJ. They have collaborated with krautrock legends Faust, Techno Animal (ex-Godflesh), Kid 606, Zu, Velma and many other varied groups. Unlike most hip-hop groups, Dälek actually tour constantly. And they usually tour with bands that are also unclassifiable. Past tours have seen them share the stage with Melvins, Prince Paul, Isis, Dillinger Escape Plan, De La Soul, Tomahawk, Techno Animal, Pharcyde, Fantomas, and DJ Spooky. Dälek brings their own PA on tour, so it's pretty fucking loud.
