The Grease Traps Hailing from Oakland, CA, The Grease Traps are a 7-piece unit specializing in hard-driving funk, instrumental soul, rare grooves and classic breakbeats from the late 60's and 70's. The band is an eclectic mix of like-minded musicians whose primary goal is to get down. Heavily influenced by the likes of James Brown, Kool & the Gang, the Bar-Kays, the Meters and Booker T & the MG's. Composed primarily of funk record collectors, they do their homework so you don't have to.
