Whitewater Ramble
Whitewater Ramble “Colorado-bred, High-Octane Rocky Mountain DanceGrass”

Self-described as "High-Octane Rocky Mountain DanceGrass", WhiteWater Ramble uses a simple recipe to craft it's sound - bluegrass instrumentation, add drums, and a boundary-less approach to grassing-up everything from house grooves to reggae. The Colorado-bred quintet combines the elements of Mandolin, Fiddle, Acoustic Guitar, Upright Bass, Drums and Vocals to explore the musical boundaries of multiple genres to fuel their own mixture of original music and innovative cover song interpretations. Whether playing an intimate encore, acoustic and unplugged in the crowd, or surfing on top of the upright bass, WhiteWater Ramble delivers a powerful and memorable live performance.

"With a list of influences that reaches into every corner of contemporary music, from reggae to blues to country and beyond, WhiteWater Ramble pushes the boundaries of the form way past the edge. It ain't your grandpappy's jug-band music anymore, now it's jam-grass." ~ The Boulder Daily Camera

"Certainly, playing across genres gives WhiteWater Ramble a much broader appeal and helps to win over those who may not necessarily be fans of bluegrass. “ ~ Vail Daily News

"WhiteWater Ramble's strongest point is versatility in style. While often billed with bluegrass bands, the band is not bluegrass in a strict sense. Bluegrass is merely one tool in Whitewater's shed to get the booty shaking." ~ The Rocky Mountain Bullhorn

"The style is firmly jamgrass - a touch of Salmon, a dash of Yonder , a soupcon of Grisman - but there's an undercurrent of fine (and unusual for the genre) funkiness which might point the way to that uniqueness that every band needs." ~ Mark Burnell, JammedOnline.com

WhiteWater Ramble also has had a track featured on two compilation CD's, The Boys and Girls Club of Larimer County - Music for the Children Compilation One and also Fort Collins Rocks - Volume 3.
