Smokin' Bandits
Smokin' Bandits Forming as a string band in the spring of 2003, the Smokin' Bandits have since developed a rapidly growing Midwest fanbase branching off of a unique syle of "New Grass n' Roll," constanly exploring the realms of the musical universe while continuing to revert back to their bluegrass and blues roots. Now fully electrified, each member brings a different background of musical knowledge to form a unique original sound. This last Spring took the group on a tour through Colorado, hitting such spots as the Boulder Theater and Mishawaka Amphitheatre with the Great American Taxi (featuring Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon and Reed Foehl of Acoustic Junction), and ending with a night at Saxon Halle in Brownsville, MN with legendary banjoist Tony Furtado. In the Summer of 2005 the band released their debut studio album, "Walkin' Thru," and had a summer season including trips to the 10,000 Lakes Festival, Harvest Fest, Campout Roots Festival and Gathering, Autumn Groove, and capping with a mini-tour on their way to Hookahville in Pataskala, OH where they shared the stage with Ekoostik Hookah, Little Feat, Dr. John, Donna the Buffalo, D.J. Logic, The Hackensaw Boys, Vince Herman and more!! The highlight of the summer may have been in mid-August when the group shared a night with 2004 Grammy Winner Bill Miller and his band at the historic Trempealeau Hotel in Trempealeau, WI, one of the more beautiful and popular venues along the Mississippi River. Recently the band formed "Grass N' Roll Music," a Limited Liability Company aimed to propel them further into the national touring circuit they have already tested the waters of. The blending of energetic compositions with soulful harmony and roots music pave the way for their live performances to tell all and leave fans wanting more.

Music is a very unique aspect of life, we're happy to share ours with all of you...
