After a particularly hectic 33rd year of Alanis Morissette's life, the so-called chaotic star has returned to the studio to record her 5th major US album since 2004. Being relatively out of the public eye and experiencing everything from motorbikes on the Pacific coast to heartbreak and lost love, to foreign shores and cooking classes, to making new friends and redefining 'Fergalicious' in more ways than one, the new album should be injected with the songwriters emotionally charged honesty and sage-like-wisdom beyond her years that fans have come to expect and appreciate. Working in tandem with the dynamically talented Guy Sigsworth, we can also expect something completely different in the sonic sense. More details to come when they are revealed to us.
Alanis Nadine Morissette (born in Ottawa, 1 June 1974) is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter, record producer, and occasional actress. She has won twelve Juno Awards and seven Grammy Awards, and has sold more than forty million albums worldwide. Morissette began her career in Canada, and as a teenager recorded two dance-pop albums, Alanis and Now Is the Time, under MCA Records.
