The Frank Trompeter Quartet is a Springfield Illinois jazz combo that has been featured at the Mississippi River Music Festival in St. Louis, and at a National Cultural Festival in Ashikaga, Japan. The group is led by Chicago native Frank Trompeter on jazz vocals and saxophones. He has been chosen as Best Musician, Male in the Illinois Times’ Best of Springfield readers’ survey, and is the brother of Chicago jazz pianist Jim Trompeter.
