Buckskin Stallion
Buckskin Stallion Buckskin Stallion has begun recording its sophomore CD. John Macy (Grammy Winner) is engineering the sessions. Frontman, Troy Schoenfelder has a cache of new tunes and is being joined in the studio with bandmates Dave Shapiro, Brian Schey, Todd Moore & the aforementioned John Macy. Also, look for special guests including Christian Teele, Wil Masisak, Todd Livingston, Brian McRae and others.

The release of Buckskin Stallion's 2004 debut CD Blue Ribbon Buzz continues to garner the band critical acclaim across America and Europe. Named after a Townes Van Zandt song, Buckskin Stallion salutes fine industrial beer with Blue Ribbon Buzz. The Colorado-based alt-country band does both legends proud. Troy Schoenfelder's keen songwriting treads dusty roads marked with Woody Guthrie's footprints, and on Blue Ribbon Buzz he deftly guides the band along a lonesome highway of both fiery barroom anthems and introspective gems that return the term singer-songwriter to a noble light.

Buckskin Stallion has performed at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, Nevada to the 'World's Only Corn Palace' in Mitchell, South Dakota. The band has shared bills with Guy Clark, Lucinda Williams, James McMurtry, The Avett Brothers, Drive-by Truckers, Slim Cessena's Auto Club, Caitlin Cary & Thad Cockrell, Reverend Horton Heat, Burrito Deluxe (Sneeky Pete Klienow & Garth Hudson), Lucero, Drew Emmit w/Billy Nershi & Keith Moseley of The String Cheese Incident, Tony Furtado, Split Lip Rayfield, 16 Horsepower, Mason Jennings and others.
