Portland, Oregon punk blues duo HILLSTOMP (Henry Kammerer, Guitar and John Johnson, Buckets) gives new life to American music by successfully combining North Mississippi trance blues, a bit of Appalachia and a dash of dirty punkabilly to form a duct duct-taped do-it-yourself hill country blues stomp. Rhythm comes clanging and tumbling from assorted buckets, cans and BBQ lids to call your feet to the floor while merged gritty vocals echoing through vintage mics draw your eyes and ears closer to the rambunctious slide guitar.
