Djibouti was born out of the funked-out sounds of New York City. They put out a soulful mix of funk/groove music with touches of afrobeat, latin, jazz and electronica. The rhythm section holds down the funky beats, while fiery horn lines blaze across the soundscape. They always get the room hoppin' and have been building a loyal following in the New York area playing venues like the Lion's Den, The Muddy Cup, Williamsburg's Stain Bar and Park Slope's Tea Lounge.
