Uncle Joe’s Medicine Show hails from upstate NY’s legendary funk rock and jam scene. Uncle Joe’s relocated to Atlanta Georgia at the end of 2005, ready to bring a new sound full of energy and groove to the south. With a sound that fuses vintage funk sounds with a soul lyricism, the band evokes the days of when groove and feel were first and foremost. Taking influences from late 60’s Blue Note organ funk and 70s soul they have made no mistake in getting familiar with the groove and getting a handle on the raw live elements of jazz, soul and rock.... more
