Back in 2006, Moossa strutted on the scene ready to ride the wave of momentum that followed the release of their second collective CD, "Step Right Up". The ambitious 15 (16 track?) track work really defined what this Richmond VA based quartet was all about: focused variety. Earthy roots numbers entwined with scorching rock, funk, reggae and heart wrenching ballads that feel like they echoed down from the ancient hills that stretch across their home state and reach as far north at New York and Canada and wander down into the deep, warm heart of Dixie.... more
