Roots A'Risin' is back in a new form. Pamela Parker, original RAR member, stands strong in her position as front woman and musical director of this soul rock bluesy groove band. Featuring veterans of RAR, Kim Moon and Brad King, the sound remains strong with breath taking harmonies and thundering bass. Drumming this summer with RAR is John Morgan Kimock, son of Steve Kimock. John Morgan has been a friend of Pamela's for a couple years and has stepped in to add his amazing groovin' drumming skills as the backbone for RAR's live sound. John Krimstock (Lauren Hill guitarist) and Jordan Feinstein of The Ritual step into RAR to add their San Francisco and New York roots in music. John and Jordan have been playing together since they were in high school. Jordan and John's amazing solos on piano and guitar, respectively, add yet another dimension to the sound of the RAR live experience.
This season songs from RAR's past, present and future are highlighted. Pamela Parker has just released her first solo acoustic album, Beautiful Day, which was requested by RAR fans starting 2 years ago. Her hard work and diligence in her vision has helped this project soar to completion. It has already gotten rave reviews and been compared to the likes of Nick Drake. Be sure to keep your ears open for the up coming full-band CD "Look No Further" coming out in the next year.
Until then...Peace Love and Light.......
