Screaming horns, raw bass, in the cut guitar, stanky keyboards, soulfull vocals, on the one drums- DAMN! FUNK IS ALIVE, NOT DEAD!!! Altered States of Funk are the Northwest's premier original funk band. Original compositions, tight arrangements, and filthy funk are the center of their thang. They have brought their unique brand of the groove to sold out audiences for over two years now. The base of their musical gumbo is pure FUNK, with flavors of soul, jazz, and hiphop. In 2006/2007 Altered States of Funk was voted Seattle Weekly's #1 Funk/R&B/Soul group. The band continues to tear the roof off of clubs and festivals throughout the Northwest in a quest to continue the legacy of the funk.
