New York-based Anti-Folker, Don McCloskey (aka Big D) returns from Philadelphia with a new disc and a new band. The new album, Northern Liberties, is named after the neighborhood in Philly where McCloskey recorded and lived for three months at the end of 2006. Philadelphia's G Love produced the album's opening track, "The Beautiful Girl in the Beautiful Car," and also provides the song’s searing harmonica solo.
