At age 18 he studied at Virginia Commonwealth University for two years where he had the honor to study Jazz Violin under the Tutalige of famed Jazz Pianist Ellis Marsalis. David left after two years prefering to be self taught by recordings, and finding a love for old time mountain music, bluegrass, and recordings of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. In 1995 David was asked to play with the Telluride Blurgrass band Competition winners McGraw Gap, to open the Festival. Since then he has played professionally, and recorded with the famed guitarisr Larry Keel , as well as McGraw gap's mandolin player Danny Knicely. David has recorded on dozens of projects including Larry Keel, Keller Williams, Cracker, Corn tornado with Grammy winner Curtis Burch, as well as playing all the major festivals and venues; Telluride, Mearlefest, Grey Fox, Suwanee Riverfest, and the Kennedy center to name just a few. In 2000 David began teaching fiddle, and in 2003 with help of friends Dwayne Brooke and Frazer Watkins revived the annual Bluegrass and Folk music festival WatermelonParkFest. Today David maintains three bands, Furnace Mountain (old-time, Celtic and World music), David Via and Corntornado (bluegrass), and The Woodshedders (Gypsy Jazz) , as well as teaching 20 to 30 students a week at home in Berryville Va, and at Ellsworth music studios in Sheperdstown WV.

Morgan Morrison is from Taylorstown, VA. She started playing, pickin', and singing at a young age with her very musical family. Now she mainly play's the bouzouki, mandolin and guitar. Morgan has a unique and powerful Bouzouki style, and a voice that is rich and soothing. The vocal team of Morrison and Curl has often been compared to that of Alison Krauss and Gillian Welsh. Morgan has done her share of touring as well having played at Telluride, Smilefest as well as in China, Ireland, Estonia, Latvia. Along with playing at numerous front porches, kitchens and living rooms.

Aimee Curl is from Furnace Mountain in Virginia; she plays the bass guitar (electric, acoustic & the stand up or doghouse bass) and sings like an angel. She and Morgan split the vocal duties, singing their own style of Appalachian roots folk music. Aimee can play all types of music, as was the case with her adventures with thamusement. A band from New Mexico who has toured with bands like Dave Matthews, Widespread Panic & Blues Traveler on the Horde tour. Along with Nathan Moore, Enion and David Tiller thamusement had a brand of jazzy instrumental music with Dylan like song writing and stellar vocals. With new musical explorations ahead of her Aimee has just finished recording at her own house no less the first production Furnace Mountain cd, with a little help from Dave, Morgan, Nathan and Danny.
