The Dewayn Brothers
The Dewayn Brothers The Dewayn Brothers have been delivering their brand of "Bastard Bluegrass" for the last 4 years to audiences all over the Midwest and beyond. Drawing heavily on their Kansas up bringing they do some stuff that Mr. Bill Monroe wouldn't take too kindly to, but they keep the tradition in their thoughts and near their sound none the less. Playing anything from fast as lightining originals to standards to Guns and Roses, The Dewayn Brothers never fail to entertain.

With well over 230 shows under their belt in 2006, the Dewayn Brothers learned many things in their first year of full time touring. The most important thing is that the road sure beats the day job, “It’s better than laying concrete for a living,” remarks Josh Finley mandolin player for the group. They’ve also become amateur diesel mechanics, from installing a new thermostat for the bus in front of a club in Pagosa Springs, CO, to blindly replacing the alternator at 4:00 a.m. next to a Kansas turnpike parking lot, there’s nothing the Bros. won’t try. “We even cleaned a bar in Tulsa before the show for some dinner money,” guitar player Eric Nelson recalls, “anything to keep us out here!” The rest of the year includes stints down south and of course a pretty big Midwest schedule as well as a Colorado run in summer '07.
