Founded in Northern New Jersey by guitarist Gary Gallagher and his childhood friends, One-Eyed Jack is inspired by the jam band scene. Bassist Adam Riley, drummer Alzie Sisco and keyboardist Squigs are the driving force behind the core of the band. Constantly experimenting and growing, thanks in part to the lyrics and vocals of Rosie Lazroe and the unique style of guitarist Kurt Balchan, OEJ has had the opportunity to share the bills with such acts as moe., Robert Randolph, Melvin Seals and the Roots to name a few.
The 2006 release of “Keep Your Head” began a new era that saw the band travel throughout the Northeast, playing their ever-expanding version of song driven rock and roll. Last summer, the Jack took to the Midwest, playing to audiences from Denver to Kansas City. Coupled with 14 festivals across the northeast, this was the busiest and most successful summer the band has enjoyed to date.
One-Eyed Jack starts the new year with a renewed sense of purpose, aiming to reach as many new fans as possible. With plans to record and release a new album this year, OEJ is in it for the long haul, growing musically and personally…as they continue down the road less traveled.
