    Nerve
New York City’s ulu is not your average improvisational palindrome. Their name may read the same in either direction, but their new release on Harmonized Records captures exponential growth and is certainly all about moving forward. Nerve is the band’s fourth release, and it showcases a vast array of fresh studio material focusing on well-crafted arrangements and creative elaboration.

    Scott Chasolen - Solitude Speaks
ulu's charismatic keyboardist shines on this solo release! Helped by guests like ulu members Aaron Gardner, Dave Hoffman, and Justin Wallace, Scott showcases his vocals and songwriting on this album. There's a Ben Folds-like bounce to a lot of the tracks, which percolate with piano-driven, jazzy rhythms and somber melodies. Soaring harmony vocals, flute, percussion, violin, and various other instruments add depth to the tunes. Scott also creates big, dramatic sounds with his various other keyboards. A different side of this talented musician!
