RJD2 RJD2 (Ramble John "RJ" Krohn) is a top tier instrumental hip-hop artist and producer. His debut album, Deadringer, was released on the groundbreaking Definitive Jux label in 2002 to rave reviews, many of which claimed it was essentially a sequel to DJ Shadow's masterpiece of beat driven sound-collage Entroducing.... On his latest release The Colossus he showcases a grasp of mood and a talent for arranging, capturing some of that foreboding yet funky mood from his early work. RJ has made stealth forays into the mainstream from time to time; he is the composer of the theme to TV’s popular Mad Men series.
