Bobbi Lee Justice & The Scepters were a Toronto R&B group formed in 1961. In 1963 they began playing at the In Crowd Club.
They were the former house band of the Mynah Bird Club in Yorkville, and were the first group to be offered "The Mynah Bird Song" to record as part of a recording deal with Capitol-EMI. Fearing a backlash from a possible image change they declined. Rick James's band would adopt the name and the song "The Mynah Birds" instead.
