Jubeus
Jubeus Jubeus is a song-driven roots rock quintet with soulful expression, heartfelt lyrics and head bobbing grooves. With beginnings as a college rock band from the small town of Farmville VA, the band has since worked hard to become a prominent act in the region. In the past year they have gained support across Virginia, Maryland, DC, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia and continue to branch out from their current homebase of Richmond VA. With a powerful live performance, they consistently come to life on stage, creating an atmosphere of singing, dancing, and good times. Listeners of all ages and genres find a sense of community with Jubeus, as they appeal to a cross of cultures. For this reason, the band has performed events as formal as weddings and corporate parties and as wild as frat parties and hard rock festivals. They have had the honor of sharing the stage with a variety of national and regional acts including Everclear, Oteil(of the Allman Brothers Ban! d) and the Peacemakers, The Sugar Hill Gang, The Mosquitos, Caveman, DJ Williams, Two Skinny Js, Donna The Buffalo, Caveman, Soldiers of Jah Army(SOJA), U-Melt, The Ordinary Way, The Ryan Montbleau Band, Special Ed and the Shortbus Bluegrass Band, Cast Iron Filter, Pinmonkey, and Michelle Nixon. The debut album, Two Tone Circles, sets the band apart with its mixture of soul, folk, Caribbean, and rock into one cohesive sound. The band will be completing their second album at the close of this year and has current plans for release in February of 2007.
