Ripple was formed in 1978. for 25 years the band played the Music of The Grateful Dead. Ripple was one of the first Grateful Dead cover bands ever. In 2003 Ripple called it quits and broke up. Bass player and Jerry vocalist, Ronnie Penque and lead guitarist James Salluzzi went on the join Melvin Seals and JGB. After 3 years Jimmy and Ronnie left the JGB. Ronnie now playes full time with The New Riders of the Purple Sage or his own band Ronnie Penque & Friends. Drummer Clay Cassell is now in NJ cover band WigJam.

UPDATE: on November 18 2011 the original members of Ripple reunited for a concert in Tappan NY. The band says there will be a couple of more shows soon. don't miss them.
