The Soundmen
The Soundmen The Soundmen formed back in 2002. Then as a vocal-fronted five-piece ensemble out of Atlanta, GA, they became a unique and exciting live act on the music scene melding styles as diverse as acid jazz, latin, back-porch blues, and soaring free improvisation. The Soundmen's first studio effort, "Pleasure in the Mess", was recorded at Atlanta's famed TreeSound Studios, and mastered by Rodney Mills. Over the years the have shared the stage with the likes of Bob Weir & Ratdog, moe., Gov't Mule, Perpetual Groove, Particle, MOFRO, and Col. Bruce Hampton. The current-day version of this band now boasts original instrumental compositions with intricate melodies featuring duel saxophones. Expect a release of all new material sometime in 2010
