well i disagree dank. been to 6 of 7 roos and its still fun. tickets sales are getting carried away, but you pay for what you get and bonnaroo brings mainly the best acts out there. too many drug wookies and custies???? ummmmmm why do you feel people go to smaller festivals man? cmon now. Anyways i just dont think that i will be back at the farm, or any festival at that this year, sept Rothbury because its 2 hrs away because of PHISH.

Indeed...I wentr the first four years and I could see that the winds of change were a'blowin'. You could go to five small festivals for the price of one Bonnaroo ticket. I can't believe how fast this went from a grassroots jam festif=val to a full blown frat boy fest.

Id say no, thats not possible. How long has it been since phish has shared the stage with another band? if they play a festival, itll be them by themselves for three days.

i personally cant think of a better way for phish to kick everything back into gear than by headlining the largest and most popular festival in America. im almost betting they will play, because 1. bonnaroo isnt dumb and last years turnout was a lesson learned 2. the crowd size phish would draw would make it possible for bonnaroo to make an offer i doubt they could refuse.

Phish should play a festival of their own while Bonnaroo is going down. Might keep the frat element suppressed. The second week in June is too F%#*ing hot to do anything in the South anyway..except backpacking in the cool mountain air! Who is willing to buy tickets without any sort of lineup?

'Roo is a lot of fun. So much to do and the latenight atmosphere is unbelievable. But damn, for early bird tickets that is a particularly steep price. Rothbury and Roo are both pretty far from me, so I'm gonna hold off until lineups are released, but I'm definitely going to one of them.

despite how counterintuitive this might seem, there are serious rumors that it will be Phish and Bruce Springsteen headlining Bonnaroo this year (with someone else of course who i don't know about) but I heard that from a good source. Just something to consider...

PHISH will headline Rothbury if anything. Remember, the reunion started thier last summer, maybe they'll finish it this summer. The only band I heard was rumored to be "confimred" for Bonnaroo was the Killers as one of the latenight headliners. However, it's still just a rumor. I wouldn't doubt The Dead, and RHCP, only because Bonnaroo is one of the only big festival they havn't played yet. Anyone else notice the Headliners seem to rotate between Bonnaroo, Coachella, and Lolla for the past 4 years?

ALSO, Trey turned down bonnaroo last summer, and choose to play Rothbury instead, maybe he just felt he belonged there more than he did at bonnaroo now a days. Bonnaroo has become more like Lollapalooza now, and less like "Bonnaroo". (the early Bonnaroo that we all love and miss).

MEH. I will save my $$$ for the smaller fests, like bearcreek.

there was no conflict of schedules there. and you don't have to walk far, and there is shade and a place to swim.

I really don't care about Roo anymore, its too commercial.

so what if Phish is there? I rather see them play a three night run at the fox in atlanta or something.

maybe britney spears, bruce springsteen, and ricky martin will headline for you roo lovers..

last year I went was 2006. sucked. oh, you still had some fun cause your peeps were there, but it was even more obvious than before that a serious shift was well in place.

I wonder how many guns were at Bonnaroo last year with Kanye headlining?

Obvious headline choice this year...Guns and Roses as mentioned above. Why do Bonnaroo insist on having acts that bring people of other genres on the bill. Do they not understand that along with appealing to more people, they've also polluted and diluted the scene. Boy, how I love getting the stank-eye at festivals from backward baseball cap wearing wannabes.

Roo was the first festival i ever went to and 06 was my last year. I agree you could definetly see the change. It happans. Im not mad at that because so many other, and a lot cooler festivals, have started because of what Bonnaroo did. Everybody has their opinion on why this festival is good/bad and I think thats cool. Everybody should be able to experience music this way. The truth is though Bonnaroo is overpriced and quite frankly I dont think it will ever return to its former glory. Even if Phish and The Dead play here this year, which I doubt one if not both dont do, who are they going to follow up with next year??? The roo has lost its identiy as the premier festival, you cant argue that. The only thing it has going for it is its name. There are better lineups out there, better locations, better venues. For that we all have Bonnaroo to thank.

i hate how people complain that bonnaroo is too commercialized. people, this business Roo is in is to make MONEY. and personally i like where they have spent their cash to create a better overall centeroo. now granted they have over extended with MLB booths and such. ive been to 3 roo's, and i skipped out on last year because the lineup wasnt my cup of tea, but either way, i am getting annoyed with people complaining about what the initial point of this festival is, and first and foremost thats to make cash. everyone here acts like these organizers are somehow obligated to book the same 10 acts each year. Ill leave that to summercamp, allgood, and 10klf.

Wow, checked on the internet a little bit, and there's about 750 different bands rumored to be headlining. I'm guessing by the big jump in ticket prices that they've booked somebody that charges quite a bit for a performance. I'm guessing either Paul McCartney or Nine Inch Nails(2 of the names which seem to be popping up alot). neither one would surprise me, and both charge an arm and a leg when it comes to tickets.

My thoughts are just that if the Dead and Phish are smart they would do this festival. There's too much hating going on with you critics blogging about how it would be a horrible move to do so or that they would never in their right minds go to the roo, but the Dead did do the Roo and Trey as well along with Mike Gordon, so the possibility is there. I would love for it to go that way, but who knows. I think if Bonnaroo wants to get back to its roots that's exactly what they should do. The Dead and Phish will already be the concerts to be at next year and if roo wants any credibility back then they should sign them up. It would be a nice way of bringing the tribes together and build this jam community back up from its distruction.

Not trying to be an elitist or put Phish on a pedistal (sp?), but I agree with Broesau above...if you think Phish will play Bonnaroo, you don't know Phish. They have never played a huge fest like this since they started going down (first roo), even though they have been rumored to play at just about every single one. Also, they have had their own successful festivals. I just don't think they would play a big fest b/c they know that their fan base along is so dedicated that they will follow them around whenever and wherever they are playing. As for the money, I dont even think that's part of the equation. Phish has plenty of money. If they wanted to make a bunch of loot, don't you think they would play a larger venue than Hampton and charge more than $50/ticket.

So basically, us Phish fans are not saying they are too good for a festival, it's just not their style. Never has been, and I don't see them heading in that direction just a few months after returning to the scene.

Just my opinion!!

i've heard a lot of the same coolmike. it wouldn't surprise me either; trey has gone on record several times in praise of superfly - specifically the bonnaroo festival. this year was the first year that i didn't go to roo. i chose to switch it up a little and focus on more intimate musical experiences (i did jam cruise 6 > amberland > bear creek), and i wouldn't change it for anything.

like miles said above, even if phish were to play bonnaroo... at this point in my life, i would much rather catch them during a 2 or 3 night run at any theatre or venue besides that dustbowl in manchester. i had fun at bonnaroo. i give tons of credit to roo '02 for helping me alter my perspective on a lot of things in life. superfly created a wonderful, magical event that became a really, really big music festival. i can't hate 'em for it, but to say that it hasn't changed (for the worst for most of us) is not an accurate statement. roo delivers really diverse lineups that appeal to pretty much everybody. that is superfly's strongest and weakest marketing move to date - just depends which side of the coin you prefer.

Phish, the Dead and Billy Joel? I'd make the trip down from Maine again. Everyone always hates on the roo but i have never had a bad time. I don't understand how anyone could have a bad time at a music festival. It is what you make of it. As corporate as Phish may have become I still don't believe they would play at such an event as bonaroo and disrespect their die hard phans. Phish should play a fest of their own in the Northeast. lets not forget about two days 3 sets a night. Bonnaroo can forget about offering that to Phish

Phish could play Roo because Coventry was a disaster. It costs a ton of money to put on a festival. Why not collect almost the same amount of money for putting in 1/100th of the production costs. Also, they are just getting back on their feet maybe they don't want to be put under so much pressure at their own festi. I can't wait for everyone to eat your words once they are put on the bill. Does that mean none of you will buy tickets if they are headlining?

omg, why the FUCK do people complain about commercialization?! ITS THE WORLD WE LIVE IN PEOPLE. i know you like to think somehow you are making a difference by not giving your money to "the man" but every single festival holder has the EXACT same intentions as the bonnaroo people, and that is to make money, plain and simple. And guess what, they are amazing at what they do. lets be honest, the real reason most of you call roo commercialized is because people outside of the jam scene actually know about bonnaroo and its a great place for many first time festival goers. ive been to 3 bonnaroos and had a blast at each and every single one, and other than this "being too commercial" lame excuse, ive never heard of one person who can give a reason why they didnt have a blast at roo (unless of course you only listen to the same standard jambands non-stop, then i understand, diversity isnt for you.)

Anyone ever heard of inflation? You hatemongerers. If you haven't been to the festival in six year, then shut your mouth. Commercialization isn't what's wrong with this festival so much as it is the naysaying assholes that surround it. If you don't like it, fine. Keep it to yourself. I felt that this past year's Bonnaroo was the best since '04 and that is, in large part, due to the fact that there were less people there (aka less negativity) that carried a large spirit of being there for the music. As for Phish playing Bonnaroo or not, or The Dead. I would not be at either show because I don't care for their styles but that doesn't mean that they don't have a place at a MUSIC festival. Everyone needs to think about the big picture of life and not hate on four days in June, in the middle of Tennessee, just because you don't like advertisements. Take a look at the borders of this website. As we stand as a society, the outlets that we love so much are incapable of flourishing without selling to something. I don't like the advertisements or the commercial development of such a large festival, but good things cost money. For me to have my annual four-day reprieve from reality, I will pay $250 for several bands that I love to be accessible to me. No commercial advertisements = no Jambase = Bonnaroo. Try dealing with life instead of complaining about how 'bad off' you have it.

You people need to stop the bitchin til we see the list of bands...if Phish plays, which they will, then like a few others say on here, YOU will be going. Rothburyfields can suck it saying Roo went down with Radiohead, Radiohead is the shit and they've conquered the concert scene this year and the fact that they themselves said it was the best show they've ever played says a lot. And stop saying that Phish doesn't do festivals like this, they haven't done any shows in 4 now going on 5yrs, so whos to say what they will do...YOU CAN'T cause YOU'RE NOT THEM!

Yeah we've all heard of inflation, but we've also heard of recession. I had to sell tickets to Loki because gas prices hit record highs here in NC. When it costs hundreds of dollars to get to a festival you can't charge $250 plus fees for early bird tickets. That's going to be nearly $300 at the earliest. Phish may or may not play Bonnaroo. Who knows? You can't base it on what they did in the past. They said they weren't getting back together either, but we all see what happened there. Bonnaroo's biggest problem is they are trying to cater to too many crowds. They sold just as many if not more tickets when it was all jambands and the usual festival crowd. If they get back to their roots I'm in, but when you have 1 band for every musical taste why am I going to pay $300. I'll go to a festival that is tailored to my preferences. If You love the Roo go. Say hello to my dad. Stop by his house, I'm sure he'll feed you.

That is an easy $200 in chicago for one night out...bonnaroo for 250 u get a 4 day pass and parking..parking alone in chicago for 4 days is a cool 80$..people get your head out your ignorant ass...either way it;s a slamming party...I'll be there and NLPQ all summer long...I will skip rothbury though..last year was cool but now it's wayy to commercial in the rich hippy land rover crowd..peace!!

The problems with Bonnaroo don't have as much

to do with the bands or the prices as they have

to do with scumbags who hang around that joint.

I know you gotta make your money on tour, but most of

the folks out there with your drugs on the shakedown

are liars and assholes, selling bunk shit.

You better eat some mushrooms, because any LSD sucks

unless you meet someone legit wondering around the

camps, or maybe real lucky and it's your neighbor.

People out there running 3 card monty, or whatever

the hell, ripping folks for hundreds at a time.

It's a disgrace, when only a few years ago this festival

was full of family.

I do think, if the right band(s) played there, maybe

the crowd could change that vibe that Bonnaroo has

taken on.

i have never been to the roo. but i have heard it is a good time. i have also heard about some shitty times as well. there are to many points on this board to even try to touch on them all. fuck comercialization fuck kids that wear backwards hats fuck young kids fuck the bands. Comercialization is every where, unless your buying stuff with wampum or bardering your using a visa or american express card (commercialized forms of purchasing) or something. i know plenty of people that wear backwards hats that arent douchebags, we were all young at one time it happens you have to evolve. the bands to each their own, ya like rap power to you, ya like reggae power to you, ya like county jazz jam rock metal soft rock power to you. like i said never been there so i dont know what its like and really long as you go have a good time who the hell cares. if its not for you power to you as well. enjoy whatever festival or band(s) or venue that you will see in the future. sorry for the rant. I went to the first three bonnaroo's and the 2nd and 3rd one were fun but never came close to the first year. The first year was the best experience, best music and greatest collection of people at the best kept/unknown place in the world. That first year was so special and unless you were there you will just never understand.

By the way my ticket was only 140 bucks that first year and was worth every penny

Why don't all of you chmps taling about Rothbury SHUT UP! This is not about that festival. Talk about it when they put their tickets on presale. Technopagan is 100% right. Everyone use to say that Bonnaroo was the shit and everything else sucked. On to Phish, everything you are hearing are rumors, not facts. If you say that you had a reliable source, then you why would you tell everyone? So you could lose that reliable source? Yes, that would be nice if Phish went on tour, but it is not confirmed. Until these rumors are facts, why waste your time. I live closer to Bonnaroo than Rothbury so I will probably attend that over Rothbury depending on a line up. Plus, Billy Joel will not be playing.

I went last year and since I'm not into getting wasted in 100 degree weather, I actually thought it sucked. The dust the heat the drunken idiots passing out all around me really killed the vibe. Seriously, the fest has changed. A few years ago it was 99% pot smoking hippies and it was really laid back. The music trumped everything. My personal preferences in music were all over the place. Last year it was a struggle to find shows I wanted to see. No bands were overlapping. I had to pick several times I had to choose between artists I didn't even care about. So since I don't go to festivals to get fucked up. I really didn't have a good time last year. So yes I'm one person that did go and is bashing Bonnaroo.

Anyone who went to Bonnaroo last year or any year and experienced the festival to the fullest, cannot deny that the music was great. Barring some real question marks (Metallica), the music as a whole was fantastic. Dark Star Orchestra played an amazing set on Thursday night to kick off the jam fest. Friday Bisco played out of they're minds for 3 and a half hours. Saturday BB King, The Roots, and Pearl Jam tore apart What Stage. Not to mention the 4 hour long Phil Lesh & Freinds set long into the wee hours of sunday morning. Thats just to name a few of Bonnaroo 2008's Highlights. Get over the fact that the festival has to be shared with a few frat boys, or Bunk dealers. Bonnaroo is a huge party with amazing music, what more can I say.

There is no way that much inflation has occurred between last year and this year, in fact we have gone into a recession and may even being experiencing deflation. A price jump this big (if the $250 is out now, I'm imagining $300+ at the door) means one of two things: either they decided they're entitled to a much bigger profit than before or they've blown an incredible sum on getting some superstar headliner I could care less about like the aforementioned Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, etc.

I laugh when people try to pass of mainstreaming as "diversity" and label all who oppose it as wanting to listen to only jambands. If you want diversity let's bring in more music from other countries (check out the Gangbe Brass Band from Benin, Africa, if you can find them, oh my fucking god!), more underground hip-hop (how about Immortal Technique or Talib Kweli?), neo-old time groups like the Wiyos, insane gypsy folk rock like Gogol Bordello, the Dresden Dolls, and Luminescent Orchestrii, some drum n bass, psytrance, or twisted beats like the glitch mob and bassnectar. Yes I know, bonnaroo has booked some of these acts before, I'm just saying it's seeking out those kinds of artists that make a festival diverse, not choosing them based on the cover of Rolling Stone. I swear to god if I have to sit through Death Cab for Cutie or anything similar ever again I'm going to tear the stage down.

In 2002 I would have never expected to seePhish play a fest like Bonnaroo. But let's keep in mind that part of the reason Phish called it quits was that they had a huge infrastructure to support. It's a lot of work to put on a festival. I don't find it hard to believe that today Phish would rather just show up and play a few sets of music and let Superfly/AC handle all the rest of the logistics of the festival. The Phish organization has been dismantled. Musictoday handles their ticketing and even merchandise these days. So...Phish playing Bonnaroo is not as far-fetched as it sounds.

Mr. rothburyfieldsforever,

I think you may need to attend a few more spelling classes over festivals. You are 100% right that I am a dirty wookie that sells fake paper. In fact, that is the only reason why I go to festivals. To rip people off like you and to just be a wookie. You have no idea what you are talking about. I go to see music and that is it. I don't do hallucins of any form, unlike yourself (who must have been ripped off a few too many times). A festival is not about "losing your mind", it is about seeing a diverse musical scene all in one area. Stop talking shit when you don't know shit, junkie. Jgtwentysix is right about seeing the boss and billy joel. PheelinPhunky, I never said that Page was in the superjam, he sat in with spam allstars. nice try though.

To everyone who is saying that Bonnaroo tickets are starting at $250, your fucking idiots. It is the same exact price as last year. If your in the last group of people to buy your ticket, then you will end up paying $250. The early bird special is $209. Stop your bitchin and realize the fact that shit costs money, and each year those costs go up. Inflation is not a new practice. If you want an idea of what you get for your money, in 2007 The Police headlined. They were also doin a tour in which face price tickets were $100+. So to see multiple bands of that magnitude for $250 along with the long time festi favorites is awesome. And to anyone who thinks Dave Matthews Band is a worthy JamFest headliner is one of those rich hippy punks who doesn't have to worry about the price of a ticket anyway. Dave Matthews rapes his audience in his ticket prices and they all sell out to crowds of these fo-jam fans.

people hate on bonnaroo because is has "sold out", you cant blame a company for trying to expand their musical base. Bonnaroo is a festival with top notch musicians. People think they are being "open minded" by boycotting music that is corporate, when really, it just goes to show how closed minded they really are, good music is good music, regardless of a fan base. If you want to hear the widest variety of bands/musicians around, go to bonnaroo, simply put.

So since bonnaroo presale tix only cost $209, then once scalpers get a hold of them, which they will because thats the accepted system these days, expect a ticket for bonnaroo to go for no less than $5000.

I am not richie rich. I would have loved to get in on hampton, but i'm not made of money. Thanks to the band for realizing that 90% of their "fans" can't afford to see them anymore. I mean, I'd put my house up for sale, but then baby daddy would be homeless. But hey....its just inflation.

So expect bonnaroo to be like $5000 - $1,000,000 per ticket. Since Phi$h is gonna play.

who else here saw phish for FREE in 1994? god those were the days.

The funniest thing about the bonnaroo haters is that the only reason they hate the festival is because of drug related reasons. You know, the majority or people are there for the music. It is a music festival. I happily bought my pre-sale ticket knowing i'll get at least 10-15 bands that I really want to see. Fuck shakedown, i'll buy a small bag of pot when I get there that will last me all weekend because I am enjoying music too much to care about taking halluci's and shit. I think some of you have forgotten how to enjoy music without drugs...it's a shame really, you are the ones destroying the culture.

Floridajam- God you obv. I'd have to disagree with you. Where the hell were you Summer 03? I got in to soo many shows for free. Tickets were on the ground if you looked hard enough. Hampton tix will get down in price after tour is announce. NOBODY will pay scalper 5 gs for a roo ticket, so Scalpers will get fucked in the first place. 209 dollars is not bad for Phish and a ton of other bands ( we're only talking if Phish plays Roo tho, other-wise yea you're right it's a rip off) I've been to 02,03,04,07 and I swore I'd never ever go back. But who Am I kidding! Just because of the Phish rumors I bought a ticket, I think it would be amazing if they'd play Roo. I mean I love Phish fest 3 sets, 2 days. But I have to admit seeing a Phish show + another 30 great shows wouldn't be such a bad Idea. If there is one place on earth people should get wacked out of their minds is def. Bonnaroo. Just know that if you can't handle the heat stay out of the kitchen.

it's the same thing year after year....I saw Phish in '91 therefore I know what's up...I went to the first 2 bonnaroos and the rest suck....Rothbury was the best fest ever (1st year)...I guarantee u will hear man that fest has changed it sucks and is commercial....hippies ripp on the roo for advertising and selling out....I happen to see at every single fest hippies trying to sell me BS t-shirts, glass pipes, burritos, grilled cheese, beer, cd's, cloths, u name it a hippie can get it and sell it to u....I think hippies are way bigger sell outs than bonnaroo music fest...

Man oh man, there are a whole lot of presumptuous idiots commenting on this.

We don't only dislike bonnaroo because of the drugs, if I was THAT concerned

with getting off, I would bring my own shit.

Bonnaroo is:

Hot as fuck (every year)

Rainy as fuck(most years, especially 04, lots of people lost everything

they brought in the near floods.

Windy as fuck (every year)

Crowded as fuck (every year, once again especially 04)

No one likes walking 2 miles to go to centerfuck-a-roo

No one likes waiting in the car for 12 hours to get in, give or take

No one like the crowd it draws...most people going as of 3 years ago

had never even heard of it until it became cool to pay 250 bucks to

see 129 bands they've never heard of and to see the one they have,

someone like say jack johnson or OAR or some shit

There are endless reasons that it sucks, and a few reasons its great.

Rothbury headlined Dave Matthews because his record label owner, or producer, or some bullshit like that put the damn festival together -

and he will likely headline the thing again. If you were there, you know

that yeah, fucking 80% of the people there were there for dave, LAME.

I ran into I don't know how many people who had never even heard of Primus

or the Disco Biscuits.

And shut the fuck up with this phish stuff, buy a ticket if you think

they will be there, and don't if you don't, jesus fucking christ, how many

articles can turn into a fucking phish-off.

Phish will not play Bonnaroo. Yes all four members have attended but that is not Phish.

Someone had posted that Phish disbanded due to there huge operations, wrong. After Kuroda's OC rehab and Trey's multi year OC then Junk Then OC binges the band saw themselves as people they thought they would never become. To save Trey from the path of many a rock star it was the only thing to do. The second (out of possibly hundreds of reasons) was the scene which followed them.

It happened with The Grateful Dead also, too many fans showing up for the party. deer creek 95? Phish lots have become tour rat crime zones. youtube red rocks phish and watch the news reports of the scene acting worse than date raping frat boys and that was over ten years ago. Anyone who claims that they have seen the scene change during the course of bonnaroo hasn't been paying attention.

The truth is that you are accumilating more experience and noticing your environment and surroundings better. The scene is not falling down around you, you are rising above the scene.

But seriously, Phish will not play ANY festival. Farm Aide 98 will be listed from here on out as Phish's last multi-band appearence.

I love how people on here can say things as if they are fact. Here's a fact 5 years ago I would have said this "Metallica will never play Bonnaroo". So the "Phish will never play Bonnaroo" claims are far from fact. Maybe they will, maybe they won't, but nobody (at least nobody on this site) knows for sure. Just because you traveled with Phish in 91 doesn't mean you know them any better than the rest of us. Nobody knows what they will and won't do. I hope they do play. I still won't go to Bonnaroo, but I have friends in Manchester that would love to see Phish.

Also, Please help erase elitism in the Jam scene.

the fact there are over 152 posts about hti sfestival...shoes there is a shit load of interest in what Bonnaroo does...I can understand some folks wanting to see th elin-up before deciding to go or not...

I would pass on roth this year...my brother in law is a michigan state trooper and the local community was pissed about drugs and shit last year...very much unlike how the manchester community in tennessee loves bonnaroo.....the folks in michigan know all the fake rich hippies will be at roth this year.....they want to get paid was his exact words....have fun rich hippies

Hey smokey, just because you dont have a job and arent a rich hippie like me, doesnt mean that you are a better hippie than me. Just get a job and hang out with the rest of us rich hippies at rothbury instead of the frat boys and Wookies that walk Bonarro every summer. And if you are into girls, which is a long shot, they come by the shitloads to ROTHBURY to see DAVE and the other mainstream bands which keeps most of the wookies out which was no problemo for me

And most of the people at rothbury are regular sucsessful people with regular haircuts and appearences that will not get bothered by a cop. If you have dreads and look like Linus from charlie brown you may have a problem. HIPPIE PROFILING

now how can the ticket prices keep going up and up? last years lineup was INSANE...anybody that says it wasn't is a fucking poser wanna-be hippie, sure the headliners weren't the best but just read over that lineup, what bad can you say...metallica? oh wait they kick ass their new album just proved that, jack johnson...well yeah you have a point there, pussy faggot...tiesto, club promoting cocksucker, yeah wow 2 bands that had big slots let down, so what else was playing during those bands, probably something kick ass...i think the scene is fucking lame at bonnaroo i've been there 03,04,05,06...and during 06 it was a shady reality that that festival died with the major cockriding corporate kiss asses, but still, if you want music...the roo provides, and if you want drugs...well you can't go wrong just choose any festival. and what's funny is most of you haters have either never been to the roo, or you were too fucked up on sass or were fucking some frat dudes ass to get some sass so you could get seoooo fucked up. get a life all you trolls. actually scifag, i do wish it were 1994 again. Not because of my degree cause i got that in 1991 and it is still yielding piles of cash for me to roll around in in 2008. I would love to go back to 1994 and visit your 1st grade class. I'd interrupt your lesson on the number 2 and i'd smack your face. I don't usually hit 1st graders in 1994, but maybe that would slap some sense into you. I'll be like, "look idiot 9 year old, this is a ticket stub to a FREE phish show. In 19 years a bunch of you little assholes are gonna ruin the scene for everyone by supporting scalpers who sell tickets to snot nose punks like you"....but back in 1994 you were more concerned about that load of shit in your diaper. Jumping ahead to 2009 and your whole pre school class is in hampton with your $500 scalped ticket in hand going "look at us! were so cool!"

say hi to your boyfriend for me when your sweating your balls off at bonnaroo.

All you people bashing is rediclous! Gimme a break and grow up!!

The best Bonarroo was the first one! If you missed it, you'll never know.It will never live up to the energy of the first year, there was something special in the air; to think otherwise is just foolish. 2 of Mikey's last shows; Panic was on fire!! moe. and the KW Incident late nights! Cheese. The Col. Bruce Hampton. Phil and Bobby reuniting. 75k people whistling to an acoustic Bathtub Gin. Come on, now.

Phish performing there would be something to see, but seriously, they could draw just as many people on their own - remember! I'd rather see them alone.

I'll be saving for the Dead, Phish and Cheese, instead of a festival that has lost it's essence/meaning to the music community. It's a Commercial Sell-Out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
