11/14/95 VIDEO & AUDIO AT LIVEPHISH.COM

After touring in support of A Live One the previous summer, Phish's Fall 1995 tour kicked off in late September in California and spanned the Pacific Northwest through Big Sky country and the Southwest reaching Chicago. Shows in Gainesville, Tampa and most notably West Palm Beach gained notoriety among fans for excellence, but the magic that took place inside the University of Central Florida Arena on November 14 was of a higher order. We're pleased to add the video AND audio of November 14, 1995 to the growing LivePhish.com catalog (with crystal clear, mastered soundboard audio) as the next installment in the on going LivePhish Audio and LivePhish Video series.

Continuing in true LivePhish.com fashion, we will routinely offer you hand-picked shows, made available in both Audio and Video formats. All audio releases will be mastered and video will be synched to soundboard reference audio. Download the full show MP3s ($9.95) or FLAC files ($12.95) or fifteen videos (available for purchase both individually at $1.99 or as a complete set for $19.95). The videos will play on any player that supports MPEG-4, and users can freely transfer videos onto popular portable video players, including Apple's video iPod.

Click here for a complete tracklisting or to purchase Audio and Video at LivePhish.com. Phish's December 29, 1997 performance at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY and Phish's "Headphones Jam" (a unique morsel recorded near the beginning of the Undermind album sessions, with proceeds from the sale going to Ocean's Harbor House in New Jersey) are among the newest additions to the LivePhish.com catalog and are available for download now.

Why don't they just release a DVD through Dry Goods-Only and save people all the trouble of going through all that crap to watch it on a real television screen instead of an f'n I-Pod.

Let me start off by saying I've always LOVED the music of Phish, but their live releases as far as "sound quality" leave much to be desired. It's almost as if certain levels are tweaked a little and other things are turned down. Sometimes it's too much high-hat or not enough bass or no Page what so ever!
Ever since the "LIVE PHISH" releases,I have struggled with the overall production of the live shows. The sound quality is better on the free download websites than it is coming from Kevin Shitpero at the Phish vaults. It just doesn't sound like the Phish I saw over 60 times...It just doesn't sound...good. I'd rather listen to an audience generation than a dry, over produced "soundboard" copy.

i think kewl got some of trey's dope. mcmurphy you can burn the video mp4's on to a single layered dvd using nero, which will play in most dvd players that can be viewed on your full screen tv, then sell them at shows for a buck, before you know it you'll get your 19.95 back. bylimb your nuts, get rid of the tape hisss and audiance 'legs. sbds and matrixs are my hear candy. i probably won't download this one but if they release pittsburgh fall '95, i'm on it. live phish should do a survey of what we want, can you say big cypress!!!!

Wow, all these people knocking this really need something else to read. We don't really care if you don't like it, or thinks a defence fund for Trey, yall are just pissed that cheese is breaking up and being just like Phish, Phish with a fiddle. Get something better to do with your time than rip on the band the made this entire board possible (trust me the Cheese and panics fan base alone would have never got something like this going). Go support your favorite band, and stop knocking other people favorite. Dildos.

Coventry paled in comparison to IT and Cypress. Nostalgic and magical as it was, the conditions were herrendous. Nothing will top the late-night tower set from IT or the "we're all super jacked on drugs, adrenaline and the love of music so let's play for eight hours," from Cypress. No DVD will ever capture those moments for me, and no DVD will ever capture the moment during "Wading in the Velvet Sea," when Page broke down crying on stage at Coventry. The experience is in being there.

A DVD would be nice but with Apple's release of Apple TV, MPEG 4's are now wirelessly viewable on your TV. You guys gotta catch up with the technology. DVD gets scratched, gotta buy a new one..mpeg is a file, smart.

Hey Kevinp17, I don't have "tape hiss" shows anymore, and the "by the fans, for the fans" audience shows that I do have sound fantastic. I do have plenty of SBD and Matrix shows, and of course, those shows sound great, especially any of the Europe 97 shows. Yet for some reason, "Live Phish" sounds overproduced and plastic...not true to the actual sound and musical wizardry of Phish! Even if Phish takes a survey of what shows they should release, they must do a complete overhaul of the way these shows are produced. I guess I'm spoiled by all the Betty boards and Latvala releases...

How come nothing is ever "good enough" for Phish fans? As a pretty loyal one myself (65+ shows from 96 on), I am more than abliged for the memories, roadtrips, amazing phriends along the way, and obvioulsly the soundtrack to my life thus far. If someones not bitching about quality, it's about why something was done like this or that. Fuck people, instead of bitching on here why not mail Trey a letter and tell him how big of a homo he is...fleeing the scene of the dopest band ever, only to get caught with H. Way to go you fuckin LOSER. Anyone want to get a petition going to have Fish, Page, Gordo play again?!!
Sidenote....cheese is melting, finally. Thank you, as that was definitely time wasted.

Great to see they're releasing more from the mid-90's! In my opinion, 96 - 97 were the hay day of phish. I'd like to see more releases from this era when the band really seemed to be in their prime. Love the music regardless of it's format. We've gotten pretty spoiled.

Brothers and sisters! Let's stop fuzzing and just listen to some good bands. To say that Phish solely carried the torch for the Grateful Dead is insane! Panic and Phish in their prospective regions kept the jam vibe goint. Panic with their cross of the Dead and Allmans combined with their impeccable lyrical ability brought Southern rock and that aspect of the Dead back. Phish with their mixture of Dead and Zappa and just plain whimsability got the Northeast back into hippy music. These guys like and respect each other. Dave Schools favorite memory is of Panic and Phish getting Jagered up and nearly getting booted out of a venue in Atlanta in the early 90s. This Panic fan says stop this stupid fan rivalry and admire in our prospective glory!

thank you cmaxwell that is a great point im a huge panic fan but still love phish. they are both great in there own ways they both helped out the scene and most of all they do respect and like each other. The fans try to hate each other and compare who's better all the time, but neither of these two bands sit around and talk shit about each other, but that is from the panic side of it, a small few phish fans just insist on making it a rivalry and that phish is waaaaay better but um phish doesnt even make music anymore anyways props to both bands, trey just chill out for a while and get better and see everyone at langerado!!

cmaxwell, WSP, in my opinion, is more representative of the southern-rock/new orleans sound traditions than the Americana/western/psychedaelic traditions of the Grateful Dead or the jazz/fusion/funk traditions that Phish was usually tied to. Though all three bands jam (and jam well), they are very distinct in their approach to music.

just kidding. But I agree, whats with all the arguing?? I've never really got that. Why does everyone talk about the past and who inherited what from who. Personally, I don't groove at all to WSP, or to cheese. I wouldn't follow them, I'll see them if they come through though. But I will travel to see Yonder Mtn, Hot Buttered Rum, Blue Turtle Seduction, and (non jam band) Mason Jennings.

We all like to dance to a good jam, as long as we're all supporting live music--the more bands the merrier, why does there have to be THE ONE TRUE BAND?? That only happened once, and since then there have been many wonderful jam bands. And a lot of them don't need stadiums to fit in--it makes the friends you make at shows that much more intimate.

hikerobby makes the point there is no one true band! If we got into ticket sales, we would be in the destructive world of hip hop. Everybody is bringing something to the table in the most earnest form of art. Let's hate pop in all its ugly forms! A buddy of mine who dabbles with the guitar gave me the light I needed to appreciate Phish. His view is that as an amateur player it is unbelievable that they execute the chord changes and other technical aspects they did on a nightly basis. So again, let's all dance and enjoy some good music!

Best Stash ever played. I was at this crazy show. Only a couple hundred people there. It was in a tiny Gym with the bleachers off to the sides of the stage. Just floor space in front. Trey lost his mind during this show...and so did many others there. After all, it's Florida.

FORT EDWARD - Rock star Trey Anastasio will appear in court this afternoon to answer felony charges that he possessed heroin and a variety of other drugs as he drove through Whitehall in December.

Anastasio, former leader of the rock band Phish, is facing felony drug possession charges and driving while ability impaired, a misdemeanor.

He was arrested early Dec. 15 after police saw his car swerving and allegedly found him with an assortment of prescription medications, including hydrocodone, Percocet and Xanax, for which he had no prescription.

Washington County District Attorney Kevin Kortright said Anastasio was carrying more than 60 pills, weighing more than a half an ounce, enough to warrant the felony charge. He also possessed the unknown substance, which was then identified as heroin in the State Police laboratory.

Kortright has said it is unlikely that Anastasio will receive any jail time
