ROGER WATERS TOUR

Roger Waters
Roger Waters will return to North America this spring to perform Pink Floyd's legendary The Dark Side Of The Moon in its entirety. The 24-date tour begins May 18 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and ends July 14 in Toronto.

The Dark Side tour will feature two full sets plus encores performed by Waters and his band, plus the massive stage production fans have come to expect from Waters.

The first set will serve as an overview of Waters's career including early Floyd material as well as solo work. The second set will be The Dark Side Of The Moon, cover-to-cover.

The Roger Waters touring band features Andy Fairweather-Low (guitar and vocals), Snowy White (guitar), Dave Kilminster (guitar and vocals), Jon Carin (keyboards and vocals), Graham Broad (drums), Harry Waters (Hammond organ), and Ian Ritchie (saxophone) and Katie Kissoon, PP Arnold and Carol Kenyon (vocals).

Waters performed The Dark Side Of The Moon for the first time as a solo artist during his 2006 world tour which included North American concerts last fall. Prior to last year's tour, his last live performances of the work took place with Pink Floyd more than 30 years ago.

I saw the show at Shoreline last fall, and it was great. But bring earplugs! My right ear is still ringing from a burst of feedback during "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun."

saw the holmdel show last sept 6th it twas also rogers and my own bday... being born aside. the show was amazing... old people were yellin a bit in the beginning wanting everyone to sit down like it was a movie... but it kinda was lol. the show was amazing.... they put on a very nice stage show... their lights and screens will burn holes in ur eyes they are so vivid, they got tricks up their sleeves. music wise, it was top notch... coulda been PF for all i knew. i will definately be catching this again. this would be amazing at a festival! if u dont like floyd, go and you will. if you like floyd, DO NOT MISS IT. if you can shell out for better seats, like really close, like i said the stage show was sweet. def payyin for the front section this time. DO NOT MISS IT!

I would totally go, if I had 200 for a ticket. Missed the first leg of his tour (which came much closer to me than this 8 hour drive to ATL) and will miss the second leg too. As cool as it would be, I can't justify that kind of dough unless the band (Minus Syd, of course) gets back together. Come on Roger & David, tear down the wall!

Saw this show in Detroit. I'm not gonna lie, I was dissappointed. For those who haven't seen him recently or at all, its worth the money to say you have seen him. But as for the music, don't expect mind blowing moments. His band is solid, but only as solid as other professional cover bands playing arena rock. I know Water's music doesn't scream arena rock, but that's how his band plays the tunes. Any Colour You Like wasn't hardly funky at all, if that says anything. That's just my 2 cents, and I'm guaranteed many will have a good time at these shows.

Now seriously, if everyone in the U.S. gave a dollar to a Pink Floyd fundraiser, we could donate $300 million dollars. Not to the band, because they won't play tour on their own. No, I'm saying mercenaries. We kidnap the Floyd with hired thugs, put them in a space shuttle, plug their geezer asses in some amps, and set up the greatest concert of all time...Dark Side of the Moon, from the literal Dark Side of the Moon. Who's wit me, let's get organized!

You know gmoo, your plan doesn't sound half bad. It could be the beer or the jimmi, but I have to agree. Pink Floyd is by far (seen GD many, many times) the best musical event I have ever seen. Add Roger Waters and I just might have to dose again.

I saw Waters in 1999 at the Knick Arena in Albany, absolutely one of the best shows i've ever seen hands down, not sure if this alot of the same back-up, but his band was pretty top-notch, I'll go up to Vancouver for sure if I can swing it.

Transcript of Roger Waters MSN Chat:

Joaco2350 in Onstage_1 asks: Is there any artist that you would love to perform with? Or one artist in particular that you really love to jam it out with?

Roger Waters says: I always enjoy working with Eric who was in my band in 1985. I also worked with Don Henley, but these are friends of mine, and I'm trying to think of somebody. I'm a big fan of singer songwriters like Neil Young who are loners and sometimes hard to imagine working with. I find it hard to answer that question, I don't really jam with people so it doesn't enter my mind when it comes to fun. Fishing, sex, but jamming, no.

I'll skip this show...gimmie something new over a watered down Pink Floyd(that what this is ya know)any day.

PF was one of my favorite bands in High School...saw them live about 5-7 times between 73-77.BTW they did the same thing back then...opening set was usually newer stuff second set being their BIG stuff.i really liked the Wish You Were Here/Dark Side>Echoes encore i got to see at Roosevelt Stadium...anyway i digress.my point is i ususlly skip these "Baby Boomer Acts" & spend a hell of alot less $$ on shows & get my fill froma lot of other bands featured on this site

Roger Waters needs to quit pussy-footing around, swallow his pride/ego and get back together with Gilmour, Wright and Mason and do a Pink Floyd tour. At least one tour. Is that too much to ask for? And no the Live Aid performance doesn't count.

Just bougt my tickets for the Edmonton show, and price is NOT an issue, it's Roger Waters!!!! First time I will get to see him ever, hell it might be the only time I'll get a chance, and that goes for the rest of you out there who haven't gone.... seriously, whats there to think about?!?!
As for Waters needing to swallow his pride and get back together with Gilmour, Mason, and Wright...you might want to take note of the 2006 tour Waters did, where Mason payed as a special guest on 11 of the 18 show dates! And lets not forget Live 8 where Waters rejoined Gilmour, Wright and Mason for a 3 song set! Just thought that might change your mind on the whole "pride" situation!

Calgary tixs start at $70 CDN to highest$150 CDN ....almost sold out already for the $70 ones, should be a great show, I saw the Pink Floyd show minus RW in LA 1987, hopefully it will be just as good, people bought tickets behind the stage & then had to move to sit in the stairways & aisles to see the vid show, what a blast!
btw.. Edmonton is 3.5 hours away from Calgary, unless you can't drive 55? He, He

Roger Waters will always be one of my favorite song writers. His material is unbelievable. Having said that his tour back in '99-'00(check IN THE FLESH LIVE DVD) can't compare to Gilmour's Floyd and PULSE which is in my humble opinion the greatest live recording of music there will ever be in the history of this planet. Long live David Gilmour and Tim Renwick; oldschool guitar GODS!
