Luthur, I have to be honest. I have no idea what your point was in all of that. Do you like Sea and Cake or not? Do you like jambands only or do you like to explore other fields of music? Are you a mad person? You shouldn't be mad, that seems altogether upsetting.

I'm not sure but I think Luthur was referring to the unfortunate exchange of opinions that takes place often on these Jambase threads.

I fall into the "never heard of them" camp. Which is fine. My 2 star rating was because all jambase did was clip a press release. Why not spend a couple minutes and do a description of the band/music? Or cut and paste?

Anyhow, I see folks know them so this is my own issue.

Excellent band, indeed. I also recommend starting with The Biz for people who want to try them.

Yea actually I am JBIZZLE, who is this band? I'm not one of those guys who starts ridiculous arguments over this blog either, so peace.

sea and cake are gravy. go check em out and then voice your opinion.

sea and cake is one of those bands i got turned onto in college (7 yrs ago???) by a guy that wasn't necessarily in the scene but who had awesome taste in music - he insisted that sea and cake was one of those who sounded phenominal on vinyl, and was right. very chill sound. try it - you'll like it!

dude not trying to call you out, just check out the sea and cake. check out tortoise, the fathers of jazz improv who many a jam electronica bands such as lotus, sts9,and the new deal have their origins based on... peace

i loooooooooove the sea and cake, and i've been waiting years for this news. hooray! :)

sea and cake is great, i'll throw "Oui" out there as my favorite album. John McEntire is an incredible producer.

i love tortoise, but i'm pretty sure jazz musicians were improvising in the 1920's :P. fathers of post-rock perhaps is more accurate.

anyone questioning the musical validity or beauty or otherwise, should listen to their song "four corners" which is track one on their album "one bedroom." if it doesnt make you smile, at least on the inside, i dont know what does. thissong is a tearjerker to me, personally. cant wait to see these guys for the first time.
