The Godfather of Soul may have passed but Delta Nove is determined to keep his spirit alive starting with a winter run through the Rockies, Midwest, desert and Bay Area. The winter run kicks off on January 22 and includes two nights in Steamboat Springs, as well as shows in Edwards, Boulder, Denver, and Durango, Colorado. Particle guitarist Ben Combe, among other guests, have been confirmed for the Trilogy Lounge in Boulder on January 25.
Moving west, the group has recently confirmed a spot for this year's Wakarusa Music Festival. On Friday, January 26, Delta Nove will play a special set at Wakarusa's Winter Classic at the Bottleneck in Lawrence, Kansas as the evening's featured artist. The group's last visit to the Midwest was highlighted by a special Halloween performance in Lincoln, Nebraska and Rad Kadillac responds to the requests to bring the band back to funk the 'Huskers up once again.
Returning from the Midwest the group stumbles to the desert to perform a special show celebrating the life and legacy of the Godfather of Soul, the late James Brown. Greenhouse Productions presents "The Big Payback," at the infamous Orpheum Theater in Flagstaff, AZ with special guests Alfred Howard and the K23 Orchestra. Additional desert performances include The 3rd Annual Tucson Gem and Jam to take place February 2 - 4. The three day event will host Delta Nove along with Zilla (featuring Michael Travis from String Cheese Incident), Heavyweight Dub Champions, and Green Lemon among others. No desert run would be complete without a visit to Las Vegas! On Saturday, February 17 the Las Vegas Jam Band Society presents a Mardi Gras/Carnival celebration featuring Delta Nove and an amazing late night of beads, booze, costumes, Capoeira, and plenty of funk! Continuing the Mardi Gras spirit the group will return to The Temple Bar in Santa Monica, CA for FAT TUESDAY on February 20 with good friends Sambada.
