Touted as the one of the best albums of 2006 by a long list of critics including Rolling Stone and Spin, the Cold War Kids' debut release robbers & cowards left music-lovers reeling and pining for more. With a bustling January schedule spent flying coast-to-coast to play 6 already-sold-out shows, the band have lined up a busy spring to give their fans just that!

Also, Cold War Kids are putting the final touches on their new video for "Hang Me Up To Dry." The video for the first single was directed by The Malloy Brothers, known for their videos for artists including The White Stripes, Foo Fighters and Wolfmother. The whole video was shot on black and white reversal film, giving it a very striking look. It feels like any' old movie, but everything in the styling and art direction feels very modern, giving an ambiguous time period to the whole video.

This coming Tuesday, January 9th, "Hang Me Out To Dry" will be the iTunes Single of the Week!

so, i've been diggin these guys lately. but not really enough to want to see them or go buy there album. but when i saw them on letterman a couple weeks ago i was blown away. it's been a long time since seeing a band perform live on t.v. gave me the chills.

now i have to drive all over scouting the small indapendent record stores becase there's no more tower records.

Nice, Philadelphia venue choice -- I caught their free noontime show at the World Cafe Live a few weeks ago. Excellent band - really a worthwhile catch if you havent seen em already.

That show will sell out bigtime

The Shins, take note. This is what a U.S. tour is supposed to look like.
