Audition to Dance with The Flaming Lips on New Year's Eve
This New Year's Eve The Flaming Lips have decided they want to add a special guest to their line up... you!

This is your chance to be a part of the psychedelic cacophony that is The Flaming Lips.
Your directive: To film yourself in short-form, auditioning to be a member of
the Lips on-stage dance troupe; In-costume, showcasing your skills.
Submit your audition video for a chance to win a place on stage dancing with The Flaming Lips during their New Year's Eve 2007 show in Los Angeles!
Sound good? Well, we think it sounds great.
Here's what you need to do:
If you don't already own the new Flaming Lips album At War With The Mystics, go buy it, or any of their other wonderful albums, or download them from iTunes or your favorite digital retailer.
Make a video of yourself dancing to your favorite Flaming Lips song or whatever you think will compel the Lips to choose you. (Please limit this to around three minutes.)
Join the Flaming Lips Dance Contest Group by going here and uploading your video, making sure to tag it with Flaming Lips NYE Dance Contest.
Visit and submit an entry form (or else you'll be disqualified!).
Cross your antennae and pray you win.
Grand Prize is:
- Two tickets to The Flaming Lips (and Gnarls Barkley) show December 31st at the USC Galen Center, Los Angeles, CA. (We won't make you go alone!)
- Space on stage with The Lips to dance!!
Please note: no transportation or hotel accommodations will be provided. You need to get yourself to the show.
