RAQ is pleased to announce that they will reunite with DJ Logic and Slanted View Productions, Thanksgiving weekend in New York City.

"On The L" will be held at Club Exit in Brooklyn, NY on Friday, November 24th. This will be RAQ's only NYC show on their jam packed Fall Tour in support of Ton These, available now on Harmonized Records.

"On The L" promises to be an outstanding follow-up to RAQ's sold out spring Bowery Ballroom show, with special guests and Logic spinning well into the morning. Tickets are available online through musictoday and in person at Tattoo Culture in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

I have seen RAQ play in clubs a few times and the rock the place, but last time I seen them at the NuGroove festival it seemed that like they really didn't give a shit.

The gods of the jam universe either love or despise our fair metropolis. I think I'll go with the former. On this holiday weekend we are blessed with two nights each of Disco Biscuits, Dark Star Orchestra and Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood. Then there's the late night treats of Lotus, The Breakfast and Digital Frontier (try it, you'll like it!). And now RAQ. Too much is never enough says I. And if you've got any mojo left on Sunday night and you have an open mind, check out Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, a punk rawk super group that performs covers like "Over the Rainbow" and "My Favorite Things." Then make sure to rest up for two nights of the Umph next weekend and Conspirator late night. Or maybe you'd rather see Tenacious D rock the Garden or maybe you wanna check out the greatest bassist since Jaco (Vic Wooten) blowing the roof off Irving Plaza. I love being a turtle! And NYC is pretty sweet too.

Raq did get some of their gear stolen recently. Mostly custom drum hardware that would be useless anyone else and some clothes. Anyway, their fan site, hyperfunkalicious.net, started a fund to replace the stolen stuff. As of 11/20 at 10 pm they had reached their goal of $1000. So Stuckey!!!!

PS This band is on fire. If you're in the south and looking for a NYE jam, go to Charlotte and see these guys for three straight nights at the Visulite. You won't be sorry.
PSS Jampirism is on the rise!

Just wanted to correct my earlier comment. Raq will be playing two nights (not three) at the Visulite in Charlotte on 12/30 and 12/31. Wishful thinking on my part I guess. That notwithstanding, go see these guys!!!

it's about time that jambase had an article on raq in the newswire. i've been waiting most of the year. they didn't even report on their performance at all good fest. i think raq is easily the most underrated jamband around. they jam more than Phish (but less melodic).
see you NYE ... both nights.

Everytime I see these guy's I have a blast at their shows...but they need to step it up a little, the last few shows I have been too are just too similar so I decided to skip em last time they came to chicago...I do love their new album however, and next time they roll through the windy city I'll definitely catch em...

my only complaint: What the hell is up w/ the Queen blatent PR Photo rip-off...I wish bands would stop playing off other musicians promo artwork calling it an "influence", and do their own thing artistically in respect to that! Just a small pet peeve of mine I had to mention!

Other than that RAQ knows how to jam and put on a great show, so go see em!

10KLF they played the last slot in the Saloon Sunday 2am; equipment made for a late start but they did rock that joint. Likewise their SoCal run in Oct was mucho tasty. Hard work's gonna pay off!

Ah, geez, relax...they can put a picture of whatever they freakin' want on there! RAQ at Halloween in Vegas was badass! Hadn't seen them since the tiny little Jellyphish Lounge show in Houston! I'll see you crazy kids around next time in the Southwest.
