Railroad Revival Tour: Willie Nelson, Band of Horses & more

RAILROAD REVIVAL TOUR RETURNS FOR 2012 DATES

The second installment of the annual Railroad Revival Tour will include the legendary Willie Nelson, folk rockers Band of Horses, country upstart Jamey Johnson, and John Reilly and Friends teaming up for shows in Duluth GA, Memphis, Oklahoma City, San Pedro and more. Early-Bird tickets go on sale on Friday, July 27 at 10am CST.

Last year's inaugural trek saw Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Mumford & Sons, and Old Crow Medicine Show team up for a run of shows across the American Southwest while traveling aboard vintage railcars. Click here to read our review of one of the stops on that tour, and see the trailer for the"Big Easy Express" documentary about last year's tour below. A statement from the Railroad Revival website reads:

"Railroad Revival Tour is an experience that transcends typical music tours or festivals and glorifies the historical romance between music and trains under the setting of the great American landscape. This one-of-a-kind U.S. train tour travels town to town aboard 16 vintage, 1940's railcars, setting up open air, pop-up concert venues in parks, fields and lots around the railroad tracks where they stop.
